If you are going over a particular subject with the family and feel that a field trip would be beneficial, then that's what you should do - go for a trip. If you are attached to a support group or ISP (Independent Study Program), you can plan to include other children too. You may even choose to be a part of the field trip committee for your group.

2) Allowed ages
3) Activities included
4) Size of the group
5) Times
6) Eating facilities
7) Any restrictions

Inform your group of all these details well in advance so that each homescool family can plan accordingly and so that the information can be included in a flyer or timely newsletter.
If you do not already have one, create an email network so that you can stay connected regarding the trip details and possibly to coordinate carpooling.

On the appointed day, arrange to meet with other parents and children in a designated place. Plan the mode of travel (carpooling is highly encouraged as a means of caring for the environment and saving money) targeting to arrive at least 10 minutes in advance.
