I was supposed to meet with a lady to encourage her in her efforts to home school her child. I called to confirm, and she sounded so discouraged. When we talked about school, I could hear that she was having doubts about herself and her schooling. I encouraged her, knowing that the devil was on her shoulder, whispering into her ear that she is a failure. Haven’t we all heard that from him? Haven’t we all though “why am I home schooling, I’m not qualified?!” and “my kid will be dumb, I can’t do this!”. If you’ve heard that voice, you’re not alone. And let me assure you that IT’S NOT TRUE!
If God has called you to home school, then He will supply your needs. He began this good work and He will complete it! Trust me, I know. Every year I go through the “I’m a failure” scenario! Satan beats me up and then my husband steps in and rebukes his words and builds me up in the Lord. Praise God.
Ladies, let me tell you, Satan wants to destroy your marriage, your home school, your friendships, and your ministry, etc… But you have God on your side. If God is for you, who can be against you? Call on Him. God is doing great and wonderful things through His chosen vehicle of home school. Since you have decided to be a home educator, you will get attacked. Let’s be on our guard. Let’s fight the good fight in battle position… on our knees! Let’s remember to pray with and for each other. God will prevail! May the Lord bless you as you continue to serve Him and fight the good fight!
